Main responsibilities:
– Consolidate and improve current observability solutions for systems and applications, including monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting mechanisms.
– Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure that observability is integrated into the software development lifecycle.
– Organize and animate a "Community of Practice" with a central theme of operability and observability of applications.
– Collaborate with DevOps and Platform Support teams to automate deployment of monitoring.
– Develop and maintain documentation and guidelines for observability-related processes and procedures.
– Define and enforce observability standards and best practices. Write and maintain comprehensive documentation using Confluence and git.
– Evaluate and recommend observability technologies, tools, and frameworks to meet the needs of IT Market Services.
– Continuously monitor and analyze system and application performance data, identify trends and anomalies, and make recommendations for improvement.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in observability technologies and best practices, and provide thought leadership to the organization.
– Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to other team members on observability concepts, tools, and practices.
Technical skills:
– Proven experience as an Observability Architect or similar role, with a strong understanding of observability concepts, methodologies, and tools.
– Hands-on experience with observability technologies such as monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Coralogix, Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent-Bit, ELK stack), tracing frameworks (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Jaeger), and alerting systems (e.g., LogicMonitor, Nagios).
– Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and customization of observability solutions.
– Deep understanding of system and application architectures, distributed systems, microservices, and cloud computing.
– Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes) for continuous integration, deployment, and delivery.
– Knowledge of security best practices related to observability, such as data privacy, authentication, and authorization.

– Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
